The Fluidity Retreat
Somatic Movements, Yoga, Breathwork and Wild Swimming Retreat.
Galicia, Spain.
Overview
Galicia is full of drama and more! The roaring ocean, the stunning and uniquely shaped coastline, the kindness of down-to-earth people, and the simple food.
Believe it or not, this region is Celtic, and its residents take pride in not conforming to the Spanish cliché. They express love for the earth, the sea, and nature as if you were in Ireland or Brittany but with extra sunshine and warmth.
Punta da Cuso is a humble hideaway nestled on a peninsula surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and Ria Alban waters, away from roads and villages.
Featuring secluded private beaches and an exceptional wild swimming experience, this venue is an ideal location to delve into the Fluidity Program and embrace water’s inherent qualities.
Amidst nature and beside me, you will be guided through the week with the kindness and wisdom of our musical host, Jacomina Kistemaker, renowned as one of Spain’s influential sound therapists and pioneers in using sound for personal and spiritual growth and individual and planetary healing.
It’s a unique week that people enjoy returning to repeatedly!
The Program
Summer is a time of energy, warmth, and vibrant movement—an ideal season to embrace life in all its fullness. This programme is crafted to help you connect with the elements of air, water, fire, and earth through yoga, breathwork, meditation, and expressive movement, encouraging expansion, openness, and vitality.
We balance the lively energy of summer with calming practices designed to cool down and relax your nervous system, perfect for hot and busy days. With secluded beaches only ten minutes away, you’ll have the chance to enjoy open water swimming alongside land-based activities, immersing yourself in the beauty of nature.
This experience is all about reconnecting with your surroundings, revitalising your body, and leaving with a deep sense of well-being—and, of course, a smile on your face!
The themed morning workshop
The retreat program is a journey from settling into your room to returning home feeling rejuvenated and smiling!
This journey is guided by daily two-hour themed morning workshops that blend traditional yoga methods, including Scaravelli-inspired yoga, contemporary movement methods, somatic and mindful yoga, breathwork, and meditation.
This diverse range of practices and approaches provides an ideal opportunity to enhance your practice at your own pace, achieve your goals, and adapt to any ailments or health conditions.
The workshops alternate between slower therapeutic approaches and more dynamic practices to promote movement, fluidity, mobility, and flexibility.
Laurent’s expertise ensures accessibility for all through tailored variations and accommodations.
