Frequently asked questions

All our yoga retreats offer yoga, pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation to people of all abilities. In fact, if you are a beginner, a Yogalaurent retreat is the perfect place to be introduced to yoga and many other new practices. Laurent’s work is generally gentle and mindful and is able to be adapted according to your abilities.
Each venue has their own policies regarding the amount of shared rooms or single occupancies available. We must follow their rules and apply them equally to our guests. On the front page of each retreat, we list the number of single occupancy rooms available. We offer them on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
Absolutely! Each retreat has activities, visits to sights, the sea, the river or the pool to enjoy. We do not follow the strict rules of an Ashram. We want to make sure everyone has a relaxed and enjoyable holiday, even non-yogis!
At the start of each retreat, one of the things we always mention during our welcome meeting is that you are not obliged to attend each class. Again, this retreat is your holiday and only you will know if you are up for every single class or not. You are more than welcome to lounge in bed or by the pool with your book instead of attending class. It’s your time to do with as you please.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept children under 16 years old. Teenagers from 16 to 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

Transfers are not provided as individuals have different arrival times and use varied modes of transportation. However, for international transfers, we aim to coordinate arrivals to facilitate cost-sharing.

Optional activities, dining out, and body treatments are not included in the overall cost unless explicitly specified on the retreat’s page.

Yes, our very talented chefs are extremely creative and imaginative and will do their best to accommodate your requirements within reason.

If they can’t we will let you know and try to find a solution together.

The difference between our retreats and our holidays with regards to food and drink are as follows:

A yoga retreat has strict rules on being vegetarian only and without alcohol consumption.

A yoga holiday has more relaxed rules about what you eat and drink based on moderation. Some of our retreats, might offer fish at an extra cost.

Vegetarian or vegan options are available on all retreats.

No one will judge you or criticise you if you eat meat. We do not tolerate food-shaming.

We pride ourselves on accepting everyone tastes without judgement.

You can find all the food details on the homepage next to the dates and on each retreat’s page.
